By accident, my parents and I saw all the bikes in Glasgow today and wondered what was going on.
Seeing all the bike going around Sauchiehall street was brilliant and even my parents (late 70's) enjoyed it (once
they turned their hearing aids off!
Great to see and I hope the kids enjoyed all the gifts.

I would just like to thank all the bikers for their terrific egg run today in Glasgow.
Our wee boy attends Yorkhill every other day for treatment. It was great to be at the hospital for a fun event
rather than for his injections.
So thanks very much for a 'crackin' day oot and we are looking forward to next year.

Well done to Mag, everything was well organised and good idea to have a band at the end, any chance of influencing
some Sun on the day next year? you managed everything else!! Most of all, hope we helped the kids big time and
nice to see so many enthusiastic spectators.

Well done to all the organisers! This event just keeps snowballing, which as a spectator must be great, but as a
marshall has mixed blessings - we really enjoy the day, but feel the event needs even more folks like me and my
friends from the Caledonian Reivers MCC to volunteer for marshalling next year. Please think about putting
something back into an event you enjoy so much?
My highlight was seeing the Octogenarian pillion on his son's bike: speaking to him in the carkpark at Yorkhill he
was obviously having a great day. his photo can be seen at http://www.fazer-mania.co.uk/coppermine/displayimage.php?album=362&pos=2

ANOTHER GREAT RUN, EVEN SMOOTHER THAN LAST YEAR & GETTING BIGGER EVERY YEAR !!! NO RAIN ? SOMEBODY MUST HAVE
FORGOT TO BOOK IT ! THE PREVIOUS POST BY CAROL BEATON SUMS IT UP, IT'S NOT JUST ABOUT US ATTENDING IT'S ALSO ABOUT
MAKING OTHER PEOPLE AWARE AS TO THE RELIANCE ON ORGANISATIONS SUCH AS MAG & OTHER GROUPS HELPING THE HOSPICES KEEP
GOING. LONG MAY THEY ALL CONTINUE. FROM PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE WE OWE A LOT TO THE STAFF AT YORKHILL FOR LOOKING AFTER
OUR BOY ALLY, WITHOUT THEM WE DON'T KNOW WHERE WE WOULD HAVE BEEN AND WE ARE VERY PROUD TO BE PART OF THE EGG RUN.
AS ALLY SAYS, I LIKE THE TOY HOSPITAL(YORKHILL).. SO DO WE SON.

This was the first year that I have actually done the run.I lost my son three years past and I am glad that
although small the Easter Eggs and donations that my friends and I made may bring some joy to the kids whilst they
are going through whatever health problems that they are going through to say it is a worthy cause is an
understatement words I can`t possibly touch on what some of these kids have to go through and see as normal they
really are the true fighters.I`d just like to say thank you to all who are involved in organising these events the
turn out was phenominal and I hope it just gets bigger. The faces on the kids up at the hospital said it all.I was
proud to be a part of it. Regards Gavin Lindsay.(Shauns Dad)

Congrats to the organisers & marshalls for another brilliantly sorted day. Everything went like clockwork from
what I saw. A big thanks too to the Glagow police for their good humoured presence & to the City of Glasgow for
supporting the event so well. Its nice to see such a wide cross section of people out enjoying themselves on their
bikes & for a good cause too. Going to be interesting to see what the estimated turn out was & fingers
crossed for a higher total raised than last year. Here is to next year, looking forward to it already. Cheers guys,
keep up the good work.
PS hope there are no whingers on here this year moaning about cups of tea & burger vans.

To all the bikers who turned up at Yorkhill today - thanks - you made my 2.5 year old daughter's day. She now wants
a motorbike.
You know you would get a warm welcome at Yorkhill even if you didn't turn up with Easter Eggs and money - anything
that takes your mind off whatever you are attending hospital for is welcome.
Thanks again - hopefully next year the sun will shine!
The band was great as well

Told my Great Nephews (Thomas aged 7 and Andrew 2 years) about the fabulous motorbikes they would see at the
Easter Egg Run and we (kids plus adults) were not disappointed. As spectators, but with a brother and nephew in
the run (that we actually managed to see among the thousands), we had a wonderful time, kids thoroughly enjoyed it
especially with the sweets given to them by the cyclists and teddy bears thrown to them and all of those dressed
up, one better than the other. The atmoshphere is first class with everyone waving at you, a very friendly event.
Thomas' last words once they passed by was, can we come next year it was great. So see you next year, keep up the
excellent work. One suggestion, why not have people collecting money on route, sure everyone would give. Many
thanks.

Another excellent run. Well done to all those who put in all the hard work to put it together for us. It all went
really well, despite the fact that Stuart looked like he was going to have a stroke due to his elevated blood
pressure. I am sure it would have been remedied by a few amber nectares (assuming he didn't throw it all over
himself first!!!)
I also thought it went a lot quicker this year, which made it a lot less work. My throttle wrist particularly
appreciated this!
See you all again next year!

I am parent of a child who has just undergone surgery at York hill all though he is not able to eat chocolate his
brother loved every bit as did so many of the children they are still talking about it.
I have had a keen interest in bikes for a good few years it was amazing to see so many bikes and people from
different backgrounds come together for this event
Thanks

We were so happy to be part of this run this is the second time and cannot wait until next time. Thanks to everyone for
all there hard work, the police, the marshalls and anyone else too many to mention. We were a bit surprised to read in
the Scottish Biker that the only celebrity to support this event is Chick Young. This says a lot for our so called
celebrities.Too many people want to put bikers down but they forget about all the other charity work Biker's do.From

A big thank you to MAG and everyone else who worked so hard to make sure this years run was another great success.
This was my sixth Easter run and it just gets bigger and better each year. I had a lump in my throat when we passed
by the kids who had come out to the hospital entrance in their wheelchairs to see us. Seeing the smiles on their
faces really makes your day. Here s a thought for next year: If every rider aims to donate a minimum of £5
each, we will easily double this years figure. That s not a lot per person, but it will make a huge difference to
the hospital!
I know MAG are no longer organising the Christmas Run to Yorkhill, but do you know if any other club will be taking
it on this year? Despite it being cancelled at the last minute last year, quite a number of bikers still turned up
and took the toys to the kids. It would be a great shame if this run ended after being around for so long. It would
be good if MAG could keep us updated with this. Although a lot smaller than the Easter run, if anyone is still
riding in December, this is a great run to take part in too and I would urge anyone who can make it to turn up with
a gift. Hope to see you then. Thanks again.

Brilliant time. Great bikes. Good cause. My girlfriend said she felt like royalaty everyone waving. Police were great,
we had some fun, as we were not sure of route, and our group seemd to get cut off from main at some points.
A suggestion for next year might be to have some strategically placed signs on polls around lights etc.

I was disappointed at the lack of mainstream press coverage . I never even heard a mention of it on the Scottish news .
This is shameful for an event of it's size , more press coverage would surley mean the ability to raise even more money .
On the plus side though , well organised good fun event this year . Roll on 2008 !
