Don't like the google earth map thing at all. I dont want it installed. Thanks for the map although both routes would be nice. Also didn't like the route this year.
It was good though to get the eggs in for the kids yeah!
Thanks to everyone for their efforts.

Yet another fantastically organised event. More and more bikes every year with more and spectators too. Pleased to see patients out and about in the car
park and ex-patients too (you know who I mean Kieran) xxx C U all next year !!!

Can we have somewhat less of a rip off for the food concessions? £7.50 for two coffees, cold and watery, one burger, hot and tasteless, and a bottle of
water. People are going to arrive looking for something hot and tasty. Next year we will bring a picnic!
another success! from a marshalling point of view the new start venue and set up was much easier and smoother.
good to see so many making the effort despite the threat of adverse weather. well done all.
loved the monkey bike squad.

Another good run today. Well done and a big thank you to the organisers, marshalls and Strathclyde Police for all their help on the way. Hope we beat last
year's total. Leaving from the SEC was a good idea as was restricting the numbers at Yorkhill. A good atmosphere at the SEC ensured that everyone had a
brilliant day...and the weather was kind again!
Another great run, the new route was good as was the new starting point . well done to all who made it possible, you have improved a great day again, maybe
thermal undies would be a good idea! see you next year.
Papajoe here...A big thanks to the orginisers once again a fantastic day out.........Cheers
fab run this year, well organised, weather was cold, could we have the sun next year plessssse:?only prob i saw was the start, when leaving the s.e.c.c car
park, it was a free for all, which caused bottle neck, and no one wants too go down right at the start.and the prices at the food stalls was far too high, these
people should have MASKS on. keep up the good work, and see you all next year.. bigger and better... chic and sue
Thanks to all that made the day happen and kept it safe, great to see the look on the kids faces. Look forward to next year.
Cheers, Kano.
Some people just don't get it do they - it's not about the google earth maps - or the price of the coffee - if you don't want to pay the price, then don't buy it!!!
IT'S ABOUT THE KIDS YEH !!!
Thanks again for a fantastic spectacle... it takes longer each year to pass and there seemed to be more people watching and waving.
Had a great day though bike wasnt runnin 100% . Much more better with new meeting place and route though i dont think the plan with the ribbons for the first
3000 bikes worked as i got in yorkhill with no ribbon lol . I didnt use the food vans due to long cues lol but i had seen on net that a percentage of the takings
from each food van was going to the charity so it wasnt that much of a rip off .
look forward to next year
Hello all. As my first egg run (simply becos ive only been riding since december) it was a brilliant atmostphere an just a really gd day. Will see you all next
year n hopefully have this L plate of by then haha
Another great day, the new start at SECC was good, well done to the organisers, marshalls and strathclyde polis for all their help, its about the kids, see ya all
next year.
great day out and a good turnout again, many thanks to all who organise the run, and to the marshalls and all the police out there today on foot at junctions and
on bikes , we will be back ,
1st run in a few years and the start venue was good, Seeing all the bikes in one place. I bet some of the car drivers hated waiting hehehe. Girlfriend's virgin run
and she loved it. see you next year
Well done to all the organisers. No mean feat getting all those bikes around a busy city. Loss of the expressway caused heavy bottlenecks near the end and a
few cooked bikes. It's amazing how many people you meet who are 'back into' bikes. We had a great day out and it's a big feel good factor to be doing
something for the kids. Keep up the good work! THANKS
Superb day! Big smiles all round, great job by the Marshalls and the Police.
Downsides, shocking prices for food and stale bread to boot! Also very poor coverage on the news and the local press, the Taxi run gets much better coverage..
Hmmmm.. I would like to see the total raised publicised.
Overall though, great day Big salute to ALL involved.
Buster & Anne
What a good day, BUT! bottle neck start caused bikes to so over and down, not good, I got a puncture (damn nail!) so a contact number for support would have
been good, the police bikers just laughed, well you would to if the Pink Panther came up to you asking for help!!!Thanks to the wee AA man who fixed it. I was
asked why I dressed up! two reasons... to make the kids laugh, and raise money. I thank everyone who helped in any way to make it specal day for the kids.
John the PINK PANTHER.
Once again a brilliant day out. yuet again a big thanks to organisers, marshalls, polis & Glasgow for making it possible. Nice to see the numbers of
spectators increasing & to see that not too many of the car drivers and passengers held up at junctions looked aggrieved. SECC start was a good move, I
hope that the SECC gave the car parks for free, good on them if they did. hope to see the totals for Bikes & cash soon.
Shame on both of our local broadcasting giants, a sideways mention of the run tagged on as a distraction on some politica artical from the Beeb and sod all
from STV. They could have even filmed it from the roof of their new offices. hope they do better next year.
The food and drink facilites at the SECC were a rip off. Thankfully I brought a packed lunch.. Decent run through although the police and marshall outriders
could have ridden 10mph faster to ease the bottlenecks, and allowed the bikes to breathe a little easier.
Didn't car drivers know this was on when trying to turn right into junctions on the main roads?? The police should have closed off the entire route in both
directions for bikers safety. One car driver nearly took me and others out by forcing their way across the road due to impatience.
whit a hoot as usual. loadsa fun. great crowds. well done the organisers etc. this was the mrs first run - now she's addicted. cheers!
4th year taking part and it just seems to get bigger every year. Thanx to all the marshalls and strathclyde police for their help. Good idea to start at the SECC
although exit plan could have been better organised to avoid bottleneck. Next year I plan on making sure that I fill my tank up and not rely on digital petrol
guage, (ran out on Great Western Road)Hohum!
My husband and 6 year old son took part again this year. Another great one, SECC lacked atmosphere though. Not enough marshalls once the first 3000 set
off, a bottleneck going between the car parks meant one guy toppled off his bike. Police needed to move things a bit quicker too out on the run, too many bikes
overheating and potential for burnt out clutches with the stop/starts. As ever though, a fantastic result for the kids in West Central Scotland with eggs and
donations. Can't wait till next year!
great day thanks. perhaps next year could the marshals walk up and down the rows of bikes with the cash donation buckets? probably raise even more that
way.
it was oor first easter run and we [plan too dress up the bikes and ourselfs for next year :-0 dont want to be outdun by big furry rabbits again hahahahah
another well organised event - big thanks to all of the people involved in making this event possible bottleneck at SECC was a bit of a shambles but i,m not here
to moan - so long as plenty cash was raised for the kids next years date in the diary
a great day out for a first time egger why not try to go from strathclyde park the next time to give even more people the chance to see all our wonderfull bikes
and the good work we are doing
it woz fantastic !!! atmosphere woz great !!! parked behind the waiters on the chikens...OMG...wot a laf !!!They wer classic !(lol) LUVD goin round glasgow
where every1 woz waving and cheering!!! lots of young kiddies with big cheesy grins on their faces!!!
Woz my first big run with my dad and wont to do it again and again...just ashame my mum has bagsd going next year!!!(BUMMER) al definitly b going the
year after and so on. wot a great way to raise money.
Second time doing run with my 9 year old son. secc had some plus points i.e more room and proper toilets but lacked the atmosphere of kelvin way(If thats
the correct street from last year.) great to see the increase in numbers of bikes and public support but shame on the tv for poor coverage. worth braving the
cold to see the kids faces would do it in foot of snow if required. everyone involved did a first class job and can't thank police marshals organisers enough
Another great run guys & gals. Glad it later next year. Looking round the bikes before the start was hard this year - you could wander through them better
in Kelvin Way, so how about a bit looser parking next year?
Love to see the video available as a download (chargeable?) or DVD - it's great publicity. Far better that the Beeb or ITV managed!

Well done to all involved - another great day. Already looking forward to next year. Maybe someone could have a word with the Polis up front. I'm always
impressed with their slow riding skills, but another couple of mph next year would go a long way to helping the circulation in my left hand!
Well done, all 8 thousand of you. This is a major event to raise money for sick kids that should have been covered much more widely by the media. i was
disappointed it wasn't on the scottish news at least.
it was another good turn out however it was a very slow run and too many bikes overheated, there could've been a bit more put into spacing the bikes out to
stop the crush at the SECC.
why hasn't anyone jumped on the idea of making up "i did the easter egg run" t-shirts or stickers etc with all profits going to the charity? why not most charities
have some sort of promotional items. i would buy a t-shirt for charity...
also when will the news catch on and actually do a feature if not a documentary on the run and its success over the years since it hasn't been going for that
many years it would be another good promotion for us bikers since we all turned up for a charity event we cannot be THAT bad eh? it really annoys me that all
the news channels cannot be bothered to do more than a few seconds if any at all on what is now becoming a large event?
as for the food vans, don't buy from them, go to hospital if you can and use the canteen, it only cost us £7 for 3 x burger and chips, a portion of chips
and 3 drinks... the hospital is more than prepared to deal with the large number of leather clad clients!!!
The Ostrich's thoroughly enjoyed the run as did their riders.
Ostrich #1's gear selection was way out at times but we only stalled it once.
Ostrich #2 had a 'sair airse' after having to sit on the top box rack but survived none the less.
No Ostrich's were harmed in the making of this epic journey.
Had a great time and raised a lotta money for a worthy cause.
Saw and heard lots of smiles and cheering along the way and had sore arms waving at all the kids. A small price to pay.
Keep up the good work.
Big thanks to all the organisers and their hard work and everyone who contributed in every way.
We'll be back next year.....outfit to be decided.
Fantastic event, my first time to this run. It was good to see so many people trying to raise smiles and money for the kids.
The organisation I thought was great, my only complaint is they wouldn't let me on the bouncy castle, apparently I was too old.
As for suggested improvements for next year, weather, although the alleged snow & sleet thankfully didn't materialise. The thought of riding up from
Worcestershire where we live, and back on Monday in what was forecast as snow/sleet put my wife off the trip. However I'm not as sensible so made the trip
on my own anyway - my wife is now kicking herself for not going and missing the fun.

Great day as ever, 4th year now, can't beleive how big it has grown. Thanks to the polis (though they could have moved a
wee bit faster)the marshals and to all at MAG. Not sure about SECC though, thought it lacked the atmosphere of Kelvin Way
but then again I'm an old fa#t that doesn't like change. Second year for my teenage daughter, she had an absolute ball
and has already booked the pillion seat for next years event. Roll on next April, hope it's a wee bit warmer.
4th run in 5 years (missed one coz I was in the Falklands). Another great run, though a bit stop-start at times ... poor
wee bike was getting a bit hot and bothered by the end. Journey home on Monday was an adventure through the snow in the
Highlands, but it was all worth it to see the kids smile. Shame we still get spurned by the TV news and biking
Celebrities. Perhaps next year, eh? Thanks to all at MAG for making this another excellent run.
Why instead of splitting group not just do a drive by at yorkhill then everyone back to secc and keep everyone together ?
when gasping through the cold i observe the serried ranks of oil and blood both burning with a joyous heat my eyes run with tears that accompany a soaring
heart and as we brace for the day's purpose i realise you are the true descendants of Wallace; you are the last of Scotland's warrior poets.
the run was moving too slowly, both myself and 4 friends had to leave the run early because the bikes were overheating, also i dont think the numbers going
this year warranted going to the SECC. Probably be the last time we are all going.
Great day! Great cause! A bit faster would be fine too many bikes overheating and my boots were getting worn out! Still didn't drop the bike, my 6 yr old ddidn't
fall off and we raised a ton of money! Looking forward to next year. Thanks to MAG for organising such a worthwhile event.
Great day to be had by all, the kids faces were worth making the effort to put a little more in this year. Lots of cash raised from everybody that turned up at the
SECC, me and my daughter loved it so much we will be back next year regardless of the weather.
My only gripe would be the price of the coffee & stuff, it is a charity event after all.
I think marshalls should get free cuppa at least lol.

Wot a hoot! Had a great drive over, ride around the city/west end as fantastic could of been a little faster tho, still got cramps in my hands!
Pity you had to split the group up and was led to believe the first 3 thousand were staying at yorkhill, I was in the couple of hundred and was marshalled
through, only through being a sneeky bassa managed to get back around and in!
OVERALL A FANTASTIC CAUSE, A FANTASTIC DAY AND SEE YOU ALL APRIL 12TH 2009, if the hands are better.
had a cracking day apart from my bike breaking down at the secc. got a backie off my mate and videod most of the run. amazing amount of people cheering us
all on.i think you should make everyone pay at least a £5 for the pleasure of the day think of the money that would raise. see you all next year. big mick
and raymond from clan

as long time watchers of the Great Egg Run,we were a wee bit dissapointed with the atsmophere at the SECC,althought we understand why the start was moved,
we didnt enjoy it as much as we have in the past,Kelvin Way had all the old oil in my viens pumping when the bikes statred for the off,but that lacked at the
SECC,unfortunatly this is the first year we didnt get to the Hospital :(,but at although we are dissapointed with the SECC thanks still need to go to all the Marshals
and cops for a safe drive :)
